Enrollment for Universal Preschool (UPK) opens February 29th, and we would love to serve your family in 2024-25. You can complete the Colorado UPK Application if your child meets one of the following eligibility requirements:

• Your child will be 4 years old by Oct 1, 2024.

• Your child will be 3 years old by Oct 1, 2024 and has an Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Note: Please see the information at the bottom of this page if your child does not meet one of these eligibility requirements.

Steps for Colorado UPK Enrollment:

1. Complete the Colorado UPK Application at https://upk.colorado.gov/ (available beginning February 29). All new and returning students must complete the application. Early registration runs from February 29 to March 28. Program options include:

   • AM Part-Time Multi-Age Class serves both 3 and 4-year-old students in a multiage setting (11 hrs/wk).

   • PM Half-Time PreK Class serves 4-year-old students (15 hrs/wk).

2. Accept your school match through Colorado UPK.

3. Enroll in Preschool (online): Once LPSD receives your match from the state, instructions for completing the online enrollment process will be sent to the email address provided in your UPK application. We anticipate receiving the first set of applications in April of 2024.

4. Additional Preschool Forms Packet (or Additional Preschool Forms Packet in Spanish) will be emailed to you in May. Preschool-specific forms required by licensing must be completed before starting school.
