Lewis-Palmer School District 38 to host 4th of July Festival

Kids and adults alike can enjoy a new place to have fun on the 4th of July as D38 rolls out a new family festival in tandem with the Tri-Lakes 4th of July Celebration. Announced at the June Board of Education meeting, D38 Place: A 4th of July Celebration, will bring food, music, fun for families and more to Downtown Monument.

Families are invited to attend these festivities on the D38 front lawn from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. after watching the Kiwanis 4th of July Parade. Bring a chair and enjoy live music beginning at 11 a.m., including local bands the Nightcrawlers and Snake and the Rabbit.

Local food trucks, including Heavenly Blessing and Papa Bear’z Grill, will also be on scene to serve food while families enjoy a balloon artist and other activities.
